from: cody sipe, phd and dan m. Ritchie, phd, cscs, acsm-hfs if you want to be one of the elite few personal trainers to establish themselves as an authority with this untapped population, while creating an incredible income and securing your future in the fitness industry, then you need to act now to take advantage of this incredible opportunity.trainers are slowly beginning to catch on and eventually your opportunity to be the leader in this huge target market will be gone. This used to be considered a specialized niche , but now it is the only growing population, and one that is completely underserviced and under appreciated.

they are the over 80 million adults age 55+ including seniors and the exploding group of leading-edge baby boomers the largest age cohort in history

and very few trainers pay them any attention. Some are scared they will hurt (or worse kill) them. Some just don t realize the potential is so huge. Some don’t know how to relate or talk to them. Some have been swept up in just doing what everyone else is doing focusing on the 20-40 year old market.

the mature market is not a niche. It is the largest and fastest-growing fitness market in the world and will be for the next 30 years. I will show you how to fulfill your financial dreams by building a business that dominates the competition. What do you want?

you might be thinking i don t need to learn this stuff. These clients aren t any different than the 30 and 40 year olds i already train. Right? wrong. I assure you that they are, and you need to train them differently or you won t ever get them to buy.

think that this means working with crotchety old geezers who do nothing but complain, talk about how things were better in the good old days , and discuss their latest bowel movement issues?

i understand because i used to be just like you until my career-altering aha moment which taught me that this is not true .

the aha moment that rocked cody’s world you see as a kid i didn t spend much time around anyone at all over the age of 55. Both my grandfathers died when i was really young. My dad s mom died not too long afterwards and my mom s mom we didn t see that much. So i had very little exposure up until the now infamous nursing home incident. You see, my youth group decided to visit the local nursing home to socialize, sing some songs and cheer up the residents. I had never been to one before.

the first thing i remember as i walked through the front door was the stench of stale urine mixed with antiseptic that hit me like a brick. Then the walk down the hallway past folks in wheelchairs drooling on their bibs . At one point i remember a lady grabbing my arm, muttering something incoherent to me through her toothless gums and then laughing crazily. After that i never wanted to be around anyone older than my parents again.

i carried this vivid and rather traumatic memory with me to grad school in exercise science. Since the program was a clinically based one of our responsibilities as students was working in the cardiac rehabilitation program on campus. If you have any experience with cardiac rehab then you know it is full of you guessed it – older adults. Talk about being nervous. I kept thinking back to that nursing home and i swear i could still smell that awful smell.

however it was here that i had my aha moment. The group of clients i worked with was the complete opposite they were intelligent, capable, witty, humorous, social, interesting, creative, adventurous and fun. I realized that not everyone was destined for the nursing home and that growing older could be a positive and enjoyable stage of life. I fell in love with this population right then and there and have since dedicated my career to studying, training and spending time with them.

it was the best career move i ever made. After working at a number of facilities and programs and developing an expertise in aging i realized that most clubs and trainers had no clue as to the vast potential that this booming age group offered or what the heck to do with them anyway.

our business crushes it with this market and yours can too – from dr. Cody sipe how can i be so absolutely confident that a boomer and senior-focused business will blow all of the other competitors out of the water? because my business does just that. You see not only am i a doctoral trained exercise physiologist and professor. Not only am i an experienced and highly sought after fitness expert specializing in aging and fitness. Not only am i a world-renowned presenter and author. I am also a fitness club owner who has created an extremely successful and profitable business specializing in the 55+ population in a competitive and saturated area that has seen numerous clubs and studios come and go over the past few years. In fact the vast majority of our clients are past the age of 55
