I loved this ring but was surprised when the ring arrived and it was black verses blue. It is really comfortable and I would have loved to keep it but was expecting one thing and recieved another. Shipping was typical (time wise) and I would purchase from them again but would clearify what I am getting.

so as other reviews mentioned, the stone is a bit dark. but, I'd say it definitely looks dark blue. in the sun it looks bright blue and the ring itself is gorgeous. i love the unique band and am actually wearing it as my engagement ring. if you want a stone that looks very "blue" this probably wouldn't be a great choice but the ring itself it very pretty.

This ring has so much character. The stone does look black in most light (which is perfect for me). The band is very delicate (also perfect). It looks much fancier and more expensive than it was (ALWAYS a plus!). It's an exquisite piece that I am proud to wear.
